Customer Support Chat or Phone (Highlights)

Overview

Chat does not have to worry about agents' heavy accents, bad phone reception, poor voice quality, or dogs barking in the background. Many sites use agents worldwide who work from home now.

There is no guarantee one method is faster than the other, but don't waste your time in a queue longer than 10 minutes. Call or log into chat later.

Always thank them at the end of the chat session, and advise them that they can close the session now and hang up or press end chat.

What applies to both

  •  Learn how to bypass the bots at entry to the site. Use short phrases and ask for a real agent, please.
  • Thank the live agent when they do something well. They often improve their help from that position.
  • Keep your requests short and understandable. Ranting like a madman and going on and on will not get the task done any faster — fixing your problem.
  • Never abuse the agent verbally or use foul language. You won't get anywhere fast with that approach.
  • Keep it light and fun, and it will surprise you how much gets done, and both parties leave happy.
