Air Fryer Cooking for 1 or 2 People
Introduction
Most recipes you find on the Internet are for family-sized meals and are not easily downsized, such as changing the cooking time. Obviously, less food takes less time. The focus here will be on a system that should work better for a single amateur chef or a couple.
The answer is right there at your fingertips: it's AI. I personally use Gemini because I use Google for a lot of things since it works for me.
The Equipment
- Ninja Crispi Air Fryer, 4-in-1 but almost exclusively with the larger glass bowl
- Silicone Liners: These are more rigid than others I have tried, and they protect the glass bowls so well that you seldom have to clean the bowl, just the liner, which is easy-peasy.
- Digital Instant Thermometer for checking on internal temperature of meat, poultry, fish, etc.
- Various utensils such as prongs, silicone gloves or pot holders, silicone trays for cooking eggs, a silicone brush, spatulas, and the like; a really good sharp knife; a titanium cutting board; and a lot of other utensils you already have, mostly in stainless steel and silicone since they clean so easily.
- Polysporin for when you forget the air fryer gets really hot and you didn't use heat protection.
- Olive oil, Avocado oil, SPAM for Air Frying (higher smoke point), sea salt and pepper in grinders, lots of other spices and lots of sauces, either store-bought or made fresh.
- Use your imagination and Gemini (or equivalent) and go nuts. Just stay away from liquids in volume since they will splatter a lot. Remember, an air fryer is really just a small convection oven with a powerful fan, and it will blow liquids and light ingredients all over the place like a mini tornado unless tacked down by oils and the like.
Y'all have a wunnerful day!
